Knee Tendons

A tendon is a tough yet flexible band of fibrous tissue. The tendon is the structure in your body that connects your muscles to the bones. The skeletal muscles in your body are responsible for moving your bones, thus enabling you to walk, jump, lift, and move in many ways. When a muscle contracts it pulls on a bone to cause movements. The structure that transmits the force of the muscle contraction to the bone is called a tendon.

What Is Tendonitis?

Tendonitis is an inflammation of the tendon, a flexible band of tissue that connects the muscles to the bones. The pull of the muscles is transmitted to the bone by the tendons, which allows movement. When the tendons are inflamed, the pulling action of the muscle is impaired and movement becomes painful. There are several large tendons around the knee area. When one or more of them becomes inflamed, this is called knee tendonitis.

Tendons come in many shapes and sizes. Some are very small, like the ones that cause movements of your fingers, and some are much larger, such as your Achilles tendon in your heel. When functioning normally, these tendons glide  easily and smoothly as the muscle contracts.

Overuse of muscles and tendons often result in discomfort.   Our magnetic tendonitis leg band provides compression and magnetic therapy.  Our customers use our magnetic knee band for numerous types of discomfort including bursitis, sprains, strains and tendonitis.

Our magnetic tendonitis leg band is 2" wide x 22" long.  It has a loop to thread the band through and offers a VelcroŽ closure.  Our tendonitis band is made with our micromesh breathable material and it stretches so you can tighten it as much as you desire.  This is a one size fits all tendonitis band and it stretches up to 30". 

Our magnetic leg band comes with one trigger size 2 X 2 removable VelcroŽ pad which contains 4 neodymium magnets.   Each neodymium magnet is North (or negative) facing the body.  You can purchase extra magnetic trigger pads if you like.  See our order box below.

We are the only manufacturer of removable VelcroŽ magnetic pads in our wraps.  This feature enables you to place the magnets exactly where like.  You can also remove the magnets and place them elsewhere on your body.  With the removable magnets your wrap also becomes washable!
